Blair firefighters extinguish a vehicle fire in the 1900 block of Front Street on Wednesday afternoon in Blair.

Blair firefighters extinguished a vehicle fire Wednesday afternoon in the 1900 block of Front Street.

Firefighters and Blair police responded just after 4 p.m.

Initial reports said the fire may have spread to the building, which houses Country Glass. Smoke could be seen coming from the garage area of the building.

Blair Fire Chief Joe Leonard said the truck was in the garage and caught on fire while the owner was working on it. With help from passersby, Tim Smith was able to push the truck out of the garage and into the driveway.  The truck’s engine compartment and dash were on fire when firefighters arrived at the scene.

The garage sustained only minor damage.
